DSET History:

Since our founding in 1989, DSET has developed and marketed software solutions to help providers optimize the capabilities and value of their networks. With the implementation of the 1996 Telecommunications Act, competitive service providers required interfaces to communicate electronically with products and services from the Bell companies. DSET was in tune with this industry need and requirements and provided solutions to competitive local service providers (CLEC) for the provisioning and maintenance of telephony offerings.

With the telecom downturn in 2001, DSET was insightful again to revise its gateway products' pricing structure. With the introduction of the company's ezRental program, DSET offered a cost effective option addressing the financial challenges of CLECs implementing interconnection software.

Today, DSET continues to build on its strengths and tailor robust solutions for the constantly changing needs of the telecommunications market. In keeping with this strategy, DSET merged with ISPsoft Inc. in January 2002. ISPsoft, founded by former employees of Lucent Bell Laboratories, brought the company an unmatched pool of talent and experience in Internet Protocol (IP) technology.

With the merger DSET is well-positioned to maintain its industry leadership, including the ongoing development of gateway products, IP provisioning, activation and configuration, and the integration of OSS solutions for global, multi-vendor networks.
