LSMS Solutions
Until the mid-90s, it was one of life’s certainties that any time you changed telephone companies you were going to need a new telephone number. Now, thanks to the Telecommunications Act of 1984 all that has changed. Today your telephone number is like your social security number that will be yours for life. Now all your communication needs, business, home, and even mobile communications, will be handled from that one number, known in the telecommunications industry as a ported number.
Portability is accomplished by the use of a second 10-digit number known as a Local Routing Number (LRN.) All telephone numbers have an associated LRN, and when a call is made to the number, the telephone network looks up the associated LRN to determine how to route the call.
DSET’s LSMS Solution Manages Number Porting Information from Centralized Database of North America Interfaces with Primary and Secondary Number Portability Administration Centers (NPAC) with auto failover capabilities/ ezLSMS provides persistent Gateways to Signal Transfer Point (STP) or Signal Control Point (SCP) and supports multi vendor switch using DCAM module. ezLSMS had been stress tested and certified to surpass NPAC requirements for a high volume of LNP data downloads.
