alliance to provide leading-edge OSS solutions to communications
service providers worldwide.
Working together on a non-exclusive basis, the two companies
will provide mutual clients with best-in-class OSS (operations
support system) solutions, including OSS interconnection solutions
based on DSET's electronic-bonding gateways. They will also
collaborate to expand TMNG's OSS practice and enhance TMNG's
NextGen Process Architecture, particularly the TMNG
Lexicon tool set, by incorporating the functionality of DSET's
leading-edge OSS interconnection solutions.
The proprietary TMNG Lexicon tool set is used to quickly
and efficiently analyze a competitive carrier's business requirements
by applying a comprehensive database of best-in-class industry
requirements and practices that address areas such as order
entry, billing, customer care and fraud management. Continually
expanded and updated, the TMNG Lexicon tool set has been used
extensively by TMNG's consultants at top telecommunications
companies around the world.
OSSs today encompass all the back-office systems required
to run a telecommunications company including provisioning,
billing, customer relations, fraud management and much more.
Building an effective OSS architecture is a complex process
and new competitive carriers typically rely on the expertise
of companies such as TMNG to recommend appropriate solutions
