DSET Ships ezAccess 3.4
Electronic Bonding Gateway Supports New
Industry Standards and Further Improves Efficiency in Sending
Access Service Requests
SHREWSBURY, N.J., August 27, 2002-DSET Corp., (NASDAQ: DSET)
one of the industry's premier source of electronic bonding
gateways and OSS solutions for global, multi-vendor networks,
announced today the general availability of ezAccess 3.4,
the latest release of this electronic bonding gateway.
ezAccess enables telecommunications providers to send and
receive access service requests (ASRs) with trading partners
when ordering bandwidth needed to provision special access/transport
and switched access services.
ezAccess 3.4 supports the newly released Access Service Ordering
Guidelines (ASOG) 25, released August 5. This new version
now supports both ASOG 24 and 25 to allow customers an easy
transition during their product upgrade. The product also
supports connectivity to MetaSolv's Telecom Business Solution
(TBS) 5.1.2.
ezAccess 3.4 can be deployed either as a stand-alone system
or integrated with an order management system.
The latest version of ezAccess enables providers to automatically
generate confirmation receipts for the transaction. These
new enhancements further streamline the operations of providers
that include competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs),
incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs), data local exchange
carriers (DLECs), carriers that offer wholesale transmission
facilities to other providers, and interexchange carriers
(IXCs).
The ASR order process can be complex, requiring many of the
25 ASOG forms defined for this purpose. Some ASR orders can
require more than 50 pages if sent by fax. DSET's ezAccess
gateway automates this process. It can automatically generate
the necessary forms and provide an economical and faster alternative
to exchanging ASR data via fax or e-mail. Automating ASR orders
minimizes errors that can delay transactions and be expensive
to resolve.
"This latest release of ezAccess illustrates our firm commitment
to provide our customers with not only the latest industry
standards, but improved functionality, as well," said Jeff
Gill, vice president of Professional Services, at DSET. "Customers
can now quickly satisfy all ASOG 25 requirements to keep up
with the intensely competitive telecom marketplace."
