LightNetworks to Build Telecom
Service Structure with DSET Electronic-Bonding Solutions
Bridgewater, NJ - January 31, 2000 - (NASDAQ:
DSET) - DSET Corporation, a leading supplier of business-to-business
e-commerce solutions for the telecom industry, announced today
that LightNetworks will deploy a comprehensive suite of DSET
electronic-bonding products to launch service for customers
in the southeastern U.S. and to interconnect with BellSouth,
GTE, and Qwest. A next-generation competitive local exchange
carrier (CLEC), LightNetworks has purchased DSET solutions
for automating pre-order, ordering, and post-order business
processes to facilitate the company's plans for entering the
telecom market in early 2000.
"We are very excited about the deployment of
the DSET suite in support of our order-management process,"
said Jeff Smock, chief executive officer of LightNetworks.
"This solution continues to leverage our strategic focus of
automated, e-commerce-based service provisioning for our customers."
The DSET electronic-bonding gateways purchased
by LightNetworks will be implemented in combination with MetaSolv
Software's Telecom Business Solution (TBS) system.
This will provide LightNetworks with fully integrated, flow-through
order management.
"In choosing both DSET solutions and MetaSolv's
order-management system, LightNetworks has joined the majority
of our customers who have made the same decision," said Phil
Cavallo, DSET's senior vice president of sales and marketing.
"Most of the more than 20 CLECs that have purchased our solutions
employ MetaSolv's TBS system as well. This clearly demonstrates
the telecom industry's high level of confidence in a combination
of products that is seen as providing the best set of capabilities
for electronic bonding and operations support."
