Network Plus Receives Certification
from Bell Atlantic for Electronic Bonding
DSET's Solutions Significantly
Reduce Provisioning Process
Quincy, Massachusetts (May 8, 2000) - Network Plus, Inc.
(NASDAQ: NPLS) has announced it has been certified by Bell
Atlantic (NYSE: BEL) for electronic bonding which will significantly
reduce the time to provision its local service products. DSET's
(NASDAQ: DSET) ezConnect Gateways power the system that creates
a "Zero-Time Interface", or ZTI, which will result
in expediting the provisioning process, reducing most transactions
from a matter of days to minutes.
``This will greatly improve our speed in provisioning orders,
improve the accuracy of the orders submitted, and diminish
the number of orders that are rejected, because DSET's services
allows us to electronically bond with Bell Atlantic,"
commented Robert Hale, Jr., president and CEO of Network Plus,
Inc. Currently, Network Plus has over 200 sales representatives
in eight sales offices as well as 30,000 customers in Bell
Atlantic regions that will immediately benefit from this process.
"We are very pleased that Network Plus has been certified
throughout the Bell Atlantic regions using our ezConnect electronic-bonding
gateway," said Phil Cavallo, DSET's senior vice president
of worldwide sales and marketing. "Testimonial to the
efforts of both Network Plus and DSET, we were able to automate
an otherwise unscalable process. This new process, as well
as the automated ezSubscribe process, will enable Network
Plus to expand their sales coverage and turn up new customers
more rapidly and without the expense of adding a significant
number of IT staff to keep pace with business growth."
