DSET Supports Siebel eCommunications

New Alliance Unites eBusiness and Gateway Applications to Facilitate Seamless Trouble Ticket Solution for Communications Industry

Bridgewater, NJ - February 13, 2001 - (Nasdaq: DSET) - DSET Corporation, a leading supplier of software and services that enable telecommunications providers to rapidly implement electronic Trading Partner Networks, today announced that it has joined the Siebel Alliance program as a Siebel Software partner and that it will work with Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEBL), the leading supplier of eBusiness applications, to integrate DSET's ezTroubleAdmin gateway with Siebel eCommunications 2000.3.

Designed specifically for the telecommunications industry, Siebel eCommunications is the most complete and comprehensive family of eBusiness applications. Siebel eCommunications allows organizations to manage, synchronize and coordinate all customer touchpoints including the Web, call center, field organization and distribution channels. Siebel eCommunications is designed to meet the needs of wireline, wireless, broadband, media, cable and Internet service providers serving a broad range of end-customers, from consumers to businesses of all sizes. It offers unparalleled breadth of functionality, creating a closed loop among sales, marketing and customer service professionals.

The DSET gateway solution automates the exchange of trouble tickets between competitive carriers and trading partners to reduce the mean time to trouble repair and minimize the costs associated with trouble management. By integrating the DSET ezTroubleAdmin Gateway with Siebel eCommunications, service providers can automate the entry, authorization, modification, cancellation, and closure of trouble tickets with their trading partners. The joint solution reduces the likelihood of errors due to manual re-entry of trouble information, thereby increasing the overall quality of customer service. The resulting increase in customer satisfaction will help joint customers leverage the new loyalty and retention management, pricing management, and contract management capabilities available in Siebel eCommunications.

"With the introduction of Siebel eCommunications 2000.3, Siebel Systems has extended its position as the leading provider of eBusiness applications to the communications industry," said Bill McHale, President and CEO at DSET Corporation. "The alliance between DSET and Siebel Systems will enable a solution to help service providers reduce customer churn through the rapid resolution of network problems that negatively impact customer service."

"DSET's leadership in gateway technology has been demonstrated by the successful implementation of its solutions throughout North America," said Richard Campione, Vice President and General Manager of Siebel Communications and Energy. "The integration of DSET's ezTroubleAdmin with Siebel eCommunications will expedite time-to-market for the joint solution, while minimizing the risk of deployment. This reflects the shared commitment of Siebel Systems and DSET Corporation to providing industry leading, comprehensive solutions that improve customer satisfaction."
